Hill Valley Baseball tradition started with Coach Joe Pickett in the 1970s and spanning into the early 1990s. Under Coach Pickett the Hawks won region championships in 1979, 1984, and 1987 with a State Title in 1987. Coach Pickett set the bar for Hill Valley Baseball with the expectation of being a top region contender that is now followed by Coach Terry Bishop who took over in 1995. Under Coach Bishop, the Hawks have won region championships in 1999, 2001, and 2002. In 2001 the Hawks reached the Elite 8 of the state playoffs. The Hilll Valley tradition has grown tremendously due to the state of the art facilities and dedication of its players and coaches. The Indoor Practice Facility was constructed in 1999. At the time it became one of the premier practice facilities in the state of Georgia (to see more go to the facilities link on the main page.) The building is complete with 2 full sized batting cages, portable mounds, weight room , and locker room. Off-season preparation begins in the summer with our summer league programs and carries on from the first day of school until game time. The dedication of a Hill Valley Baseball player has never been doubted. The young men of the present fight to protect the image of the past and the promising future. Every year the Hill Valley Baseball program allows many young men the opportunity to receive a higher education and the chance to prove their skills on the next level.
